We are proud to tell you, that *finally* a new blog joined the Bonoboblogs. It is the Blog Game Design Scrapbook from Krystan Majewski. He also writes another, very readable blog, that is not present at this place, called Game Design Reviews. So check them out!

Pixel, the very creator of Cave Story that is meanwhile also ported to the PSP, made not long a go a little shooter game called Guxt. To my surprise and our pleasure he gave a little insight into the making of Guxt, including screenshots and text documenting the process. Very well done.
If you are into Zak McKracken, than you simply have to know this website. At the Zak McKracken Archive you will definitely find all relevant informations and background upon one of the best games ever written. Let’s obey to Zak and Chris Tolworthy, who collected all this worthy information and edited the whole website.
A kind of adventure game of well rounded suspense and puzzling is “Schiffbruch”. Like the title suggests you enter a lonely island after your ship has been wrecked. Your mission now is to survive, discover the island, build tools and prepare everything for leaving the island. Although the plot and the gameplay is simple, the game is addictive and mediative with soothing and relaxing sounds, like a follow up to the golden age of LucasArts adventure games.
Download Schiffbruch.
Visit the authors website (embedded in fancy Java, that’s why no deeplink to the game).

An interesting mixture of browser flashgame, multiplayer and community is Argblargs. It has an interesting style and mood as well. Something to see. They say about themselves on the website:
Argblargs is a web based multiplayer game where you create your own character and explore the world of Arglia! Play mini games to gain experience and find tons of new cool items!
Argblargs is all about you and your avatar! Chat with friends, acquire sweet pets or simply just enjoy yourself and have fun, that’s what we do!
If you got a fresh blog that would fit to bonoblogs, than write a mail to “m w @ n o d e 3 0 0 0 . de” (without spaces of course). More infos under info. We also consider to take on small and medium enterprises or development studios onto this blog to share the best of two worlds.
Sumotori Dreams. Indeed a fun game with people made of bricks, physics made of fun and a very appreciated two player mode (on the same keyboard). It’s a sumo simulation where you have to battle your enemy by throwing him to the ground or put him outside the circle. There are gameplay videos available on the website (or in our video archive).

More a demo than a game is Crazy Patterns. It generates truly bliss bullet patterns and is not merely meant as a game, although it has some gameplay, making this a nice “in-between” application.
