I’m still experimenting with the new recording hardware – the Hauppauge PVR and the new mic. Here is a series of Tutorials I recorded recently. I’m still using the Snowball microphone for these, but the recording quality is much better than with my first attempt.
As you can see, I’m still playing a lot of Peace Walker. I’m almost [...]

Once again Cologne, once again “digital games meets art, culture and business”: In November 2011 the second edition of the “Next Level Conference” will take place at the Abenteuerhallen Kalk – a very nice locations, that hosts the demosceneparty Evoke as well, the Gloria Theater and the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum. In panels, performances and workshops you will learn lot about games, art, sound, teaching with games and the business around games as well. Next Level is about connecting creatives and supporting artful use of the medium game. One partner this year is the SoundTrack_Cologne, who care about music and sound in films and games. Read all about the festival-program at the opulent Next Level Conference Website.

So yesterday I did a short write-up of some thoughts on the new Nintendo system. Today, I wanted to remark a couple of things on Sony’s Vita. Right off the bat there is an obvious similarity between the Wii U and the Vita.
I’m sure this is just an awkward coincidence.
In this comparison, Sony could be in a [...]
It figures. I take a short break from writing and immediately I miss out on showing off my clairvoyance. I have been bugging my colleagues with speculations on Nintendo’s new strategy. It seems like my predictions were confirmed in the last few days.
Insert a “SUPER EFFECTIVE” joke here

Here is something that came in the other day:
Apparently an Xbox Live Indie game where you control a cute but weapon-wielding Squirrel or Bieber and shoot yourself through hordes of enemies in the most violent fashion. Apperently the game even comes in a retro low-fi look not unlike Enviro-Bear 2000.
To be honest, I would usually completely disregard [...]
This is the story of my CO3U Microphone. I’m selling it on eBay right now.
It’s about 1,5 years ago that I bought me a microphone. I had no clue about microphones. I wanted something simple and flexible to record the Podcast with. I ended up with the Samson CO3U. Considering how clueless I was, I was [...]

This work is older: made it in early 2010. This are not only Flowers, but “Future” Flowers, because it reminds me on the brilliant game Fantasy Zone / Sega Master System.

I am works lots with pixels again lately, utilizing the HiScore Pixeleditor most of the time. Just one work I like, let the artwork see the light of the public – on the internet!

Click the picture to enlarge. I like the relaxed atmosphere, just like modern paintings from the 20th century have.
