Terry Cavanagh, you probably know him from the game VVVVVV released a casual flashgame: memrrtiks, suashem. The visuals are distracting like the title “memrrtiks, suashem”. The shooter is like every shooter about shooting at things, but the visual outcome, combined with the filtered soundeffects make the game a unique experience. Many would throw it in the box, labeled “art games“.

The game originated as a project of the TIGJam UK. Terry wrote in his blog, that he will release some of the productions one by one. Just if he finished each work.

Smoove Pixeleditor V0.4 about to release!

Months passed with new features and constant improvement. At the end of this week, I want to submit a first version to the public. I proposed this to Friday, but do not know, how much time the review-process of the App-Store will take into account. The feature set is basic, but with the “Send .png per e-mail”-function, it is possible to integrate works made with Smoove to any workflow, just by having a valid e-mail adress.

The release will be V0.4 and the initial price is 2.99 Dollar / 2,39 Euro. Future updates are free, and there will be a lot. In an incremental fashion.

der mensch lebt zwar nicht vom brot allein, aber ohne brot eben auch keine kunst. letzteres sagte goethe, und wenn goethe über kunst spricht, dann schliessen wir uns dem doch mit gutem gewissen an.

soviel heute zur kunst nun zum geschäft.

wir haben ja zuletzt selber nicht mehr so recht daran geglaubt. in zahlreichen teammeetings und den firmenparties im wz center wurde es mittlerweile zum running-gag: der relaunch. immer wieder geplant, dann wegen zeitmangel aufgeschoben und neu angegangen.

doch trotz zunehmender skepsis ist es uns am ende gelungen und wir gehen online mit der version 0.9 unserer neuen webseite. klar das ein oder andere muss noch mal überarbeitet werden, manche tür ist noch nicht lackiert und an der ein oder anderen schraube wird noch mal gedreht werden.

aber so ist das eben bei einem neubau, wir wollen nicht zu kleinlich sein:
